Sakura Taisen

Sakura Wars/Sakura Taisen is a series set in alternate 1920s Tokyo where steam power is used for many things, including the armored suits of the heroines. By day they masquerade as the world famous cast of the Imperial Opera Troupe, though they are really also the Imperial Assault Force — Flower Division.
The series is very vibrant, and the cast are all well defined with background stories and their own faults and hang-ups. Sakura is somewhat clumsy but endearing and friendly, and the pseudo-traditional kimono/miko costume is great, and fun to wear!
It shares the same hair-bow as my Venus costume, and extra props such as swords, or Oriental fans/parasols I have laying around anyway due to my interest in the culture!
