Inu Yasha

Inu Yasha needs little introduction; the tale of Kagome who can travel back in time to feudal Japan via an old shrine well.. and Inu Yasha, the dog demon she meets. Rumiko Takahashi the author of the original manga is the first mangaka I really got into, and this series is probably (to me) the strongest she's written, though it still suffers with being overly long!
Kagome is a strong-willed character, given she's in a world of demons and beings way more powerful than herself and one of my favorite anime heroines.
Her costume is pretty simple; a green and white fuku with red neck tie, and was the first cosplay I completed, though was reworked some in 2007 (which is the version photographed here).
